The single thing that peaks my "Geek-meter" is without a doubt Star Wars. I have been watching the movies since literally before I can remember. I have easily seen episodes 1-6 around 20 times each, and all of the new movies 5-10 times each. The way the movies encompass an entire universe, and are filled with so many small details to memorize is very enticing. George Lucas took the classic concept of the hero's journey and transformed it into the greatest media franchise of all time. Everything from the designs of the creatures/ships/costumes, to the lines (even the cheesy prequel ones) to the iconic characters is just so enjoyable. No action scene in any movie could ever top a lightsaber duel. Although I think they are actually over doing it, I am glad the franchise is still going and will likely never stop.
