Zombies attack. How terrible. Fortunately, we have a plan. As most rational and sane families would, we do have an assortment of non perishable goods in our basement. So do the neighbors. My family along with a few others surrounding us are planning on taking over the local elementary school that we live within a block from. It will have a decent supply of food, a water supply (assuming electricity and plumbing still function) and ample space. There is some strength in numbers. We create a schedule of shifts to scout for intruders. The school is easier to protect with a group of people than it would be to try and stay in our own homes. Another fortunate detail, one of neighbors has a thing for guns allowing for most to be armed. It’s a temporary solution, but at this point there is no point of trying to think too far into the future.
